This week's Shaw's Match-Ups are in the works, but I love this promotion so much, I decided to give it it's own post! Buy any 10 participating items and save $5 instantly! The ad shows two prices; the sale price, then the final price in the yellow box, reflecting the $.50 savings per item after the $5 is deducted. Well, I don't like to do it that way, I think it's more exciting to take $5 off my total at the end...but that's me!
The key to this deal is getting the least expensive items (after coupons) so your total is as low as possible and you maximize the $5 savings. I am also using this as a chance to "pad" the cost of cheese. I refuse to pay $3.99 or more for a bag of shredded cheese or a block of cheese. When a sale like this comes along, it makes me feel better to consider the per item average.
